In January, I decided to do all of our Media in Canada interviews for the ICA’s Ad Week event in video format. After brainstorming with my executive editor, Mary Maddever, we decided to do the series “pecha kutcha” style and do five questions in five minutes. I shot the interviews on my regular Panasonic pocket digital camera, which was easy and convenient, and they turned out pretty well. However, you can see a clear learning curve from the first, MDC’s Miles Nadal, to the last, 3D whiz James Stewart, when I finally figured out lighting, framing and audio.
